Killington Resort today announced they will be opening two lifts and one trail on Saturday, October 13th, 2012, exclusively for Season Passholders in what is being dubbed a “Season Pass Appreciation Event”.

This event follows on the recent snowmaking efforts at Killington and makes good on the statements made by Mike Solimano, the newly-appointed GM of Killington Resort, that Killington is making it a goal to open the season as early as possible and leave it open as long as possible.

Killington Express Cardholders will be allowed to participate as well, at a cost of $25. Killington will not be opening the resort to the general public; and no single-day lift passes will be sold. Killington also states they will be open on Sunday, October 14th; if conditions permit.

The K-1 Express Gondola and North Ridge Triple chairs will open at 10:00AM and close at 5:00PM. Rime is the only trail that will be open; and will be acccessed via the Peak Walkway.

Killington has also made note that the terrain is to be considered advanced and will not be groomed; and snowmaking will be ongoing. If you plan on attending; you will need to walk to the trail and travel back down via the K-1 when your skiing is complete.

Finally, the K-1 Lodge will be open for guest services and restrooms and the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bars will be open.
