More than 160 snowguns are trained on the Upper Mountain on six trails, and snowmakers are expecting to expand to new trails and add up to 100 more guns through the day on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>This window of cold, dry air is forecasted to continue through the day on Tuesday, giving Stratton\u2019s resident snow wizards a good shot at making a first layer of snow.<\/p>\n<p>With this great news, opening day plans are coming into focus. Stratton Mountain plans to open November 21, amidst a 5-day celebration of the beginning of winter. With first tracks under our skiers\u2019 and riders\u2019 boots, Stratton Mountain will be busy with winter events and traditions from November 21 &#8211; 25.<\/p>\n<p>Opening Celebration highlights include:<br \/>\nOpening Day, November 21 (anticipated).<br \/>\n7th Annual Gobble Gobble Wobble 5K Fun Run, November 22.<br \/>\nThanksgiving Dinner at Bentley\u2019s Restaurant, November 22.<br \/>\nThe Village Rail Jam, November 24.<br \/>\nOpening Fireworks, November 24.<br \/>\nLive music at Grizzlys, November 23 &amp; 24.<br \/>\nYoga, fitness, hooping and more: classes at the new Living Room &amp; Sports Center, Nov. 21 \u2013 25.<\/p>\n<p>More events are scheduled through the weekend, including specials in the Stratton Village, family activities and ceremonies to Ullr, the Norse Snow God.
