LAKE PLACID, New York ??” Celebrate the summer solstice a few days early with some lively Adirondack acoustic music. Enjoy the fabulous sounds of George Bailey and John Doan Saturday, June 18th at 8:00 PM in the High Peaks Information Center, located at the end of Adirondack Loj Road. Bluegrass, folk, and the blues are just some of the styles that will set your toes tappin’ this evening with a vast array of acoustic instruments, starring the slide Dobro. It’s finger-pickin’ good.

George Bailey and John Doan have performed solo or together, up and down the east coast for twenty years or more. Each a versatile songwriter, they weave their songs from the fabric of American roots music. Performing on guitar, banjo, and Dobro, they create a unique instrumental sound to support their music. Rave reviews from audiences make this a show not to be missed.
