Apparently Jiminy Peak in western Mass has received 11" of snow. I'm not too fond of this place, I find the terrain kind of boring. But for 11" of snow I would flatline down a sledding hill!

I know Jiminy is notorious for exaggerating their conditions. So I'm not sure if I believe the 11" mark. I did talk to my mother who lives at the foot of the Berks, she's reported 5" of snow with white out conditions. May be worth a trip tomorrow or the next day.

My girlfriend lives 10 minutes from Jiminy. No way did they get 11". 4-5" is much more accurate.

Yeah I live in Williamsburg Mass , on the top of a hill , so I assume I get the same amount of snow usually that Berkshire East gets.

We got 6" yesterday, and another 3" so far today.. and its still snowing hard.

I might go to Berkshire East tomorrow if they finally open up some diamonds. I can't believe they don't even have Flying Cloud open up yet....

Jiminy Peak has been KILLING IT with the early season open terrain, but like some people have said and I agree, its kind of a boring mountain. But if they are 100% open tomorrow and I wake up late that might be the place to go.

They're almost 100% and have been for a few weeks. They have definitely been getting it done on the snow making front. I try to get there for first chair so I can hit the steeps before they get skied off by 10:00am or so. It's so convenient for me so I really shouldn't complain about their terrain, especially in such a horrible season.

Yeah I went there a couple weeks ago and while all the double diamonds were still closed and it was like overall about 70% open it was great conditions. Almost like spring skiing.

Too bad I dislocated my shoulder that day. That SUCKED.. but I'm hittin the slopes tomorrow anyway

I work there and skied all night till closing. They did not get 11". Maybe 8-9, but on the sides of some of the trails the snow drifted up knee deep and was amazing. We were lapping some great trails, and it was comin down very hard.

I took some vids and will post if I can make a decent edit.
