There are many resorts in New Engaland that stand out in their own way. What one stands out as a great place to work?

Whiteface. Everyone Ive met there is chill, laid back, and its a kick ass place to live.

they are all fun if you have a job that allows you to get out there often. pretty easy to find people to go out with.

Stowe. Best Mtn. in the East and you get the gold pass free. 1400 dollar value.

If you do end up working for a resort make sure you've got some kind of arrangement to get the goods. I worked Full Time for a resort and managed to ski 40 days that season, while a personal best for myself, I don't think that would be enough for the average AZ'er . Those powder days when I was stuck on the sidelines where ruff to say the least:(

thread doesn't say New England...it says NE...and on this forum I always interpret that to mean NorthEast since there are many new yorkers and jersey folks on here and always plenty of talk about Whiteface, Hunter, etc

It clearly says "New England." It is moot at this point...I was just being picky

40 days a season sounds pretty damn good to me. More than I'd expect from the average full-time ski area employee (unless their job involved skiing).

We don't get too many snow days down this way, but you're right it sure does hurt to have to work through them! :o

Good suggestion, but not in New England.

True on both counts...and they compete with the New England resorts...

I've always wondered why some threads cut out NYS resorts. We're all in the same relative section of the country.

I think TTB was just being a PITA.

A lot of people don't realize that NY isn't technically part of New England and use it interchangeably with Northeast. I'd be really surprised if very many threads purposely try to cut NY out of the equation.

You may want to try Smuggs/Stowe----alot of employment along with great access to some of the best skiing in New England.

not to shabby right! And no my job did not actually involve skiing. I'd consider myself smarter than the average bear(FTWemployee). I was really suprised at the amount of people who I worked w/ who did not ski/ride(mtn. being the last place the wanted to be on there day off) :( I still can't get over that.
