Congrats Sunday River!

Congrats,

They found out while they were making snow. Will who leads the group, has a passionate proud team. A bit of props to Boyne and the River for supporting their efforts. If you went to the River this year you know why they won.

Not really. The weather just showed why they are leaps and bounds above anyone else and why they truely deserve the award.

You're leaving out the investments the company has made in snowmaking infrastructure over the years, the lower temperatures SR experienced over the rest of New England often, and most importantly the will to spend the money to make the snow. Not trying to take away anything from the people doing the work (I used to be one of them) but at a large resort there is a lot more to it than the hands.

All true, but it is not like the system is automated. All hydrants are manual set (not even the semi auto ones Loon uses on their main trails). So yes, it takes a skilled crew along with the equip and management will to do what they do here. BTW, conditions are awesome across the entire resort today. Tons of terrain left.

Wish I'd gone there yesterday but I got lured to Wildcat by 4" of fresh. Conditions were still "meh" but it was a nice sunny day to be out.

Well earned recognition. In this "******" snow year I'll still have 8 months of skiing, thanks to these guys/gals. Yeah maybe it's equipment or computers they have to help (have no clue about any of it) but ultimately it's always the people that run the machines that make the difference. Big high five and beer to the crew!
