Check out www.northeastgolf.net Ya depression has come, I'm going out this weekend cause I can, but the feeling of doom is overtaking me.

Depression hit me a few weeks ago...kind of moved beyond it to looking forward to some hiking. I was some cranky back then...

You said it yourself...

...take two x-tra strength single tracks, washed down with perhaps a rollerblade chaser, and call your doctor in the morning. He/she may prescribe additional medicine, or stronger treatments including but not limited to rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, and incessant watching of skiing DVD's. If all else fails, there's this place called South America, and airplanes fly there daily....Good luck.

:dunce:

How about head up to Killington?
Or come up to Hunter and hike - tons of snow left..
OR hit Tuckermans... TONS of snow there..

Dont give up!!!

Yup

Yup it hit me a couple weeks ago.

I like to refer to this as the "Spring Funk". I explain to non-skiiers I'm in withdrawl ...

I hear you on every note....especially about the last 2 days 1/2 skiing 1/2 drinking.....

You should have stayed later on closing day, you missed some funny stuff!

By the way, our logger buddy just got himself a pair of rollerblades so we're all planning on doing some blading this summer up on top of the reservoir. You in?

That depressing feeling will hit me when I leave Killington on sunday, and say goodbye to the 04-05 season.

I finally put my skis away this weekend *pang*. And I pat my boots everytime I go by them....

The good news is, my convertible is all shined up and the top even came off for a few days--before the rain set in again-ugh!

Lordy, I hope you're not sacrificing those vacation days for golf! Save vacation time for powder days yet to come. Think of it as "fasting" or self-discipline.

The worst part about this is the local ski (only) shops have shuttered their doors and gone south till August. Not even a place to even go to commiserate. Even my ski club has gone into hibernation.

There must be a medical name for this afflication, no? Snow deprivation?

Still going, but down to once or maybe twice a week. It's a weaning process to prevent acute withdraw syndrome.

Nah you missed a lot of it - were you there when the liftie dude from the bottom of #1 showed up and started dancing? Before long he was up on the picnic table....with a mic in his hand singing...and the DJ would stop the music so it would be just him....
After that he had 2 bottles of mich light that he was drinking simultaneously. When he finished the first one, he held it by the neck and broke it right over his head!! It was hilarious!! Then the blood started running down the side of his head.....

Nick, Stef and I normally blade up on top of the dam. From the parking area we follow that out to the end(it ends at the road going over the weir) its a 1 1/4 mi. A lot of the time we skate across the road to where its closed(on top of the dam on the other side of the weir) and all the way to 28A. All the way there and all the way back is a nice little skate. We have skated around the circle by the aerator but that's not as nice a ride.

Not sure when Mark will be ready to go on his blades - he's never had them before and he said it was pretty shaky when he first stood on them in his living room - he said something about taking out a lamp and the curtains :)
