ASC has their multi-area, as does Interwest, Vail Resorts, on a smaller scale Whiteface/Gore and Jay/Burke (I think). Who would you put together for a season pass and way?

For me it would be Stowe/Smuggs. They already have a trail to connect the two, so it would be as simple as the 2 areas agreeing on a deal, but they WON'T. They use to have a combo ticket good on Sundays only, but they dropped that years ago. If you could get one pass for both I think there wouldn't be anything in the East that could come close. Lots of great terrain plus you can ski from one area into the other. The Alta/Snowbird of the East.

stowe and smuggs used to honor each others tickets from what i hear. i can understand the reluctance of smuggs to want to do that as it's a much shorter drive to stowe from metro areas, so why let people ski on a joint ticket if they aren't willing to drive around. splitting the revune on a pass would be tough too, and i'd guess the stowe pass is a lot more expensive? likely a lot of unreconcilable differences between the two areas unfortunately.

cannon, wildcat, burke, jay combined would be something else, huh? but again, that's splitting up the revunue too much. cannon and BW have a shared mid-week pass and the burke/jay pass is STILL yet to be confirmed for this year :(

i don't think we'll see independant ski areas forming many more of these partnerships sadly.

I would put Mad River and Sugarbush together. There used to be a college pass that put these 2 together plus Jay (I think). It was called the Huge Pass. Anyway, these are two of the best areas in VT and they complement each other very well. Also, there is already the infrastructure for shuttles between the mtns. The Mad Bus runs all over the valley so you could ski the morning at the Bush and then ski the afternoon at MRG. Or if Mad River got too crowded you could jet over to Sugarbush North to avoid the crowds.

Hunter, Mountain Creek, Mount Snow, Killington and Okemo ...... a New Yorkers Special.

Or a Catskill pass..
Hunter, Windham, Bellaye, Plattekill

Used to enjoy the Stowe-Sugarbush Big Pass when I was at college in the mid-90's. That was about as close to perfect as I've ever come for sure.

Last season, it was Jay/Burke if you bought a college pass from Jay. Jay's regular passes included Burke and a few other Quebec resorts as well (Mont Saint Sauveur resorts that is). Last season's Burke passes included all access to Balsam's Wilderness, Jay, and special deals at Cannon. I've heard that this season's passes included discounts at Dartmouth Ski Way.

It would be nice to see Sugarloaf and Saddleback do some kind of reciprocal lift ticket deal, but I do not see that happening.
