was looking to take the family to Utah (Park City/DV) for Easter, but since Easter is late (April 24) all areas will be closed by then...anywhere in the east still possibly open? Killington, Sloaf?

Sugarloaf, Sugarbush, Killington, and maybe Jay are all likely to be open on weekends at that point. During the week is more up in the air. I probably wouldn't make any nonrefundable plans this far in advance. You should be able to get late season packages much closer to that time.

The Loaf for the east. Unless there is a crazy warm-up/rainstorm they usually stay open into May.

Abasin will be open. Doesn't Mammoth have a really late season too?

In late April "open" usually consists of a limited number of trails and typically advanced terrain only at the places that are still spinning lifts.

Go to summit county and ski LL, Abasin Breck and maybe Copper. There should be lots of snow still

The Loaf was pounding snow on key spring trails this weekend. But as noted, those are going to be blues and blacks.

As previously mentioned Snowbird will be open until at least May. Alta is open until Easter Sunday this year. I imagine the other areas will be open until at least Easter Sunday. They close because people stop coming not for a lack of snow. I was at Snowbird and Alta last Easter and both were powder days without the crowds. They had tons of snow. No doubt that even with easter being later this year that they will be at or close to 100% open. I'll be there again this Easter. Great deals because no one is booking trips from away that late and the locals are all at church Easter Sunday.
