Hey folks,
What's your take on using Facebook by a (ski) club to promote events and foster member to member relationships? Useful? What do you recommend as an appropriate use of facebook by clubs?

It's just another way to get info out provided you have enough users who join your group. You can then easily send messages, invite folks to activities, etc . . . FYI there is an AlpineZone group.

I'm more into using Facebook then message boards...

i think social networking will make message boards dinosaurs in another couple of years as it starts to mature..

So what do you all do with this Facebook group - half the fun of the interweb is staying anonymous...on Facebook you'd know my real name...that would be weird....

Only starts getting weird when you post things like "what sexual position are you" quiz results to your page ;)

One of my co-workers just posted the results from the "How mentally F**ked are you???":-o

Root, send a suggestion to me to take that one! I then need to suggest that a BUNCH of my office staff take it!
I was going to take it, but couldn't get past the 1st question:roll:

So u invite ur boyfriend over and u tell him u'll be gone for a sec so he should wait in bed for you...wen u return u find ur best friend doing what u intended to do with him. you...
