I think it is safe to say that most of us here are or were road warriors to get to both our fav mountains and those special trips where we drove further to get resorts we have on our "wanta check out" list.

I love the old fashion diners, I love the good home cooked food, especially the pies, the people and of course the price.

I love The Agawan in the Topsfield area when I am heading to Beantown, the Miss Lyndonville and the Wayside in Vermont and Moody's on the coast of Maine. I am always looking for others. What are some of your favorites?

south street diner in boston, perfect food at 3am when you're drunk :) miss wakefield on route 16 in NH is great for the drive home from the MWV.

I'm a bag fan of the Sunny Day Diner in Lincoln, NH. I haven't been by there in a while, and have heard conflicting things as to whether it is still open.

Well it's a local one for me...but Jeanie's on Rt. 2-A on the Templeton/Phillipston town line here in MA. Breakfast served until closing and lunch after 11 AM. They close at 2 PM. Go for lunch and get one of the ice cream pie desserts. Say Hi to Patty, Donna, Caroline, Nancy, and Jo.

In Vermont I know of a couple of damn good diners along Route 9 between Brattleboro & Wilmington and one just off Route 11 in Chester.

The Peterborough Diner in downtown Peterborough NH is worth the drive. Their key-lime & lemon meringue pies are out of this world.

I believe the Sunny Day in Lincoln is closed.

Hey, you've gotta love the Ms. Lyndonville! A good friend of mine is the manager.

On graduation day at Middlebury, pretty much the ENTIRE graduating class packs into Steve's Park Side Diner at SUNRISE for breakfast and the annual, "it will not rain speech," from the college president.

there's this diner about a mile the other way from Sunapee off of 93 N. my wife and I had breakfast there when we were headed to Okemo (past Sunapee).

very good food, friendly people.
