Difficulty: very difficult

Conditions: Icy over 4000 feet.

Special Required Equipment: Boots, Ice was not toooooooo bad

Views were -excellent-, foliage was excellent. Very good trip. Highly recommend if you can stomach the distance and vertical.
 
Those are *gorgeous* pictures! Most people do the traverse the other way, going up the Wildcat ledges instead of down. I'm curious why you chose to go the direction you did (which also had more elevation gain and less loss)?
 
I stashed my bike at the south trailhead... its all downhill from Pinkham to Gorham :) made good time too.. 41 minutes (its a 17 min drive) was'nt crazy about the idea of biking uphill after 11 hours of hiking :puke: Although, I am comfortable hitchhiking...

can't say it was a bad idea for other (unintended) reasons. like I got those nice presi shots later in the day.. in the morning it was all clouds. I think a sunrise from WC A would have been better than Moriah tho.. That sunrise was kinda bland :(
