I try to be a person that gives props where props are due at least as often as I complain about shortcomings.

Thus, I am happy to report that when yesterday's wind holds prevented one of my weekend guests from taking advantage of the last day of her 3 day pass, Mount Snow (even though it was well after the normal cutoff hour, which I believe is 10:30 a.m.) gave her a voucher, which was above and beyond for them to do, imo. And then they went even further, giving her a voucher for the day of rental's too.

It is this kind of customer service that keeps people coming back. Not only did she walk away happy, but they will get her to come up another weekend, buy a lift ticket for the other day of that weekend, spend money in their cafeteria and in the valley generally, and so on. A smart move and one that I think should be applauded. Its the small things that really make the difference.

I've been a fan of the mountain's proximity to my home and the snow/skiing product Mt. Snow puts out from day 1, but I am increasingly pleased with a management team that seams to "get it."

Sugarbush does it right Too!

I got a voucher for my son's friend third day of rentals due to windholds on Sunday at Sugarbush. I had rented them for 3 days. So got one day voucher. They were also giving out vouchers for the third or second day of a three day ticket or likewise! This has always been Sugarbush's practice. Got vouchers for a day when my kid got sick in the morning and had tried to ski!

I consistently hear good things about Mt. Snow (both on AZ and from friends who have been there). I need to get there at some point, it's just really inconveniently placed from where my family/friends are in NH. They should build an East/West highway across southern NH/VT.

I too would appreciate an east west route. Pretty much all of southern VT is off my radar these days because of the travel hassle.

An East West Route

An east-west route; sure let the Boston and NYC crowds combine in Southern VT. I'll take up ice fishing!

Sadly, this also includes Magic.

At least you have NH and Northern Vermont on good roads. Getting into from S Vermont from anywhere but W Mass/Conn on 91 is a hassle. There are really no good roads from I-87 either and now one less with the demise of the Crown Point Bridge. It took me 3 1/2 hours from Mt Snow to Boston via Keene NH Saturday pm but that included snow.
