Every skier/boarder knows that the northeast can throw the kitchen sink at you in regards to weather, especially in the spring. Its really hard to tell what the weather in the mountains is going to do and I've arrived at plenty of mountains to find the conditions and weather much different from what I expected from reading and watching the forecasts. But every once in a while you get one of those days where the temperature stays perfect, the snow softens at a perfect rate, the spring sun bathes the slopes with light, the gloves come off on the chairlift, the goggles up from the face and its just a pleasure the be out on the mountain. Today's 3 hour session at Camelback was one of those. Mother Nature's annual northward trek has made it up to the Pocono's and the season is drawing to a close but today will go down as probably a top 10 day (and there were some good ones this year)and will remain in the memory bank all summer. While I look to close the books on Pocono season St Patties Day and shift my attention to Northern New England and Utah I really hope I can encounter at least a couple days as fine as today was.
