...at Aspen. Ski off the lift, plunk down your 15 bucks, suck down some Verve Cliquot at high altitude, and off you go. Good idea?

County approves ski-up ‘champagne sled’ bar on Ajax
*** “What we’re planning on doing is, we had constructed a portable bar that can be towed by snowcat and we are proposing to sell champagne in certain places,” Aspen Skiing Co. attorney David Bellack explained to a bemused board of commissioners....kiers could find the moveable bar’s location on social networking sites....Bellack argued that the company doesn’t expect skiers to be binge drinking to intoxication at the pop-up bars. And at $15 a glass, the champagne bars will be cost prohibitive for a younger, presumably harder-partying skier demographic, he said....Newman also raised concern that the bars would appeal to more affluent, but less-experienced, skiers from lower-elevation areas. But Bellack countered that the skill level of drinkers was not a concern for the company.
“I don’t believe we are particularly appealing to poor skiers,” he said. ***

One of my hygienist's, who absolutely LOVES Vueve De Cliquot Champagne, just saw this picture over my shoulder and has now asked if there's some type of continuing education course in Aspen that I can take the whole office too!

Oh my God, this is beyond perfect.

And this killer gem “I don’t believe we are particularly appealing to poor skiers,” was no doubt said very quietly and with a locked jaw.

Good to know what people in the office find special. While over priced IMHO, it is a good champagne. I'm guessing you don't speak French so here's some trivia:

Veuve Cliquot = "Widow Cliquot" in English

Trust me Talisman, she's told me everything from proper pronounciation to it being Princess Diana's favorite Champagne back in the day to it's meaning, and even when it's on sale for a good price (in hopes that I might pick up a bottle or 2 as part of her office christmas basket!) ;)

I've learned that if I see it for under $40 a bottle, then it's time to grab some for gift purposes!

Bar-o-witz. Homer crew knows what I'm talking about.

Do you think that it has a hot dog cart attachment Glenn?? :)

Can you tow it behind your quad?? Or are we as a Homer group going to have to chip in and buy and old pisten bully for transportation needs?? ;)

I'll gladly towowitz.....but getting a pisten bully is really tempting!
