Ski buying advice needed

LOL. If you are looking for a ski for the Northeast, do not take recommendations from a ski instructor at Alta where they got 900 inches of snow last season.

The guy skied the east coast most of his life, I have no problem taking an east coast recommendation from him.

Lol, yeah but I see mindbenders a lot, and he added some metal/carbon advice, and mentioned K2 prices are likely negotiable.

So I’m still trying them.

Thank you. 90mm underfoot is a perfect east coast all-mountain ski width so I don't see the correlation to me being at Alta. I didn't recommend my 115mm surfboards lol

Thanks for sharing this, I’m planning to demo these and the Nordica enforcer, in around the 90-95 range. Really looking forward to the season.

The enforcer 88's absolutely rip for about 75% of East Coast days! If you get a pow day, then wider may be better on those minority of days...

Just be aware, the enforcers WANT to be skied hard, so if you're a not so technical skier who brings it most of the time, you likely won't enjoy them. If you SKI them hard, they deliver!

Trying to figure out if the latest pair of skis my college Freshman almost 18yr old son just ordered from Powder7.com, Blackcrows mirus cors, will have me adjusting the bindings to fit my boots some weekend when he stays at college or not. Technically a park friendly ski, but the 134-87-123 R13 meter geometry has me totally intrigued!

The enforcer 88's absolutely rip for about 75% of East Coast days! If you get a pow day, then wider may be better on those minority of days...

Thx, I’m planning on trying the 88 and 94, not sure on lengths for these or the mindbenders.

Since these both seem pretty firm, and I enjoyed getting into some glades and ungroomed stuff last season, wondering if I should lean a little shorter on length.

Two models, two widths, and two lengths is 8 skis, asked them about this last year and they didn’t seem to indicate any limit.

The demo folks at equipe in stratton village are gonna really work for that demo fee

I had a really difficult time on ice / boilerplate / frz grn conditions last year with my J Skis Fast Forwards. Come to find out, the tune was 1x1. I'm going to 2 degrees on the sides to see if that improves grip. They replaced my beloved 2 pairs of Line Prophet 90s. Will going to 2 degrees side edges make a big difference?

I also think these skis just are straight up not as fun or versatile as my old Prophets, but that's a different story. They do look amazing though, the "Wildcard" graphics.

Failing that, what would be a good value play for bulletproof groomer days? I'm 5' 8" 160 lbs.
