Now that I've got your attention. Are there any places you plan to ski this season that you've never skied before? I'll be getting a midweek voucher for Sugarbush from the Warren Miller movie. First really good pass they've offered in my region since Killington, several years ago. I'd planned skiing there once on a Vermont trip, but ended up not making it. I'd like to try MRG too, especially since I'll be in the neighborhood. I hope to have my son make the trip with me though, you guessed it , darksider. Maybe he'd be happy doing another day at Sugarbush while I checked out MRG.

Others on my list

Magic
Saddleback
Cannon
Big Tupper, little place in the DAKs, recently reopened, could be fun after a dump, no snow making, 1,100ft vert, $25 lift tickets.

Sorry to disappoint you.

Having recently moved to NH I have my sights on some "local" areas. These aren't that far but definitely not as short a drive as others I've skied regularly:

Crotched
Sunapee
Black
Dartmouth Skiway

As I have limited weekends to do this I know I won't be able to "hit on" all these. I also (having acquired some used AT equipment) want to try:

Cardigan
Moosilauke
Tuckerbrook Trail

I know I would have more success if I didn't already have a pass at Ragged. Maybe it not too late. Should I ask for my money back?

I'm hoping to hit up Magic for the first time, as well as Smuggs. Smuggs was always elusive because of the drive around the gap. It was always easier to hit the Mad River Valley as a youngster due to it being 15 minutes from home. Now that I'm older I'm hoping to check out stuff outside of my comfort zone (meaning lazy..). Plus, I have multiple tours planned in my head. I'm hoping to make those first priority this season.

100% Certain
Magic (Waiting for a weekend storm to pull the trigger on a last minute Magic road trip)
Sutton (PDW)
Gore (Thanks Mr. Miller)

Possible, but unsure
Whiteface (I still cant believe I've never skied there)

Would like to, but probably wont
Burke (I stay for free in St. Albans, and Jay, Smuggs etc.. are much closer)

I had my first day at Killington last year, so I'm hoping to have my first visit to at least one more of VT's "big four." Right now we are thinking Stowe, but SB is equally likely.

Out west, I'd really like to get beyond foreplay at Breckenridge (I've only had one very mixed day there), and am hoping to visit Lake Louise for the first time.

St Anton is the resort I'd most like to visit east of Boston.

What are the other "big four" besides the three you mentioned?

I really would like to visit the mom and pops in Maine, but I don't know how to do it. Many are only open weekends. I fear a ski safari would run aground pretty quickly.

I'd like to get to Burke. Pretty sure I've skied just about every other ski area in VT. both still open & NELSAP, never made it to Burke.

I finally made it to Burke last April, took an 18" dump on April Fools Day to entice me to travel that far. I loved it, don't know how much the new quad will change the place. It'll be nice not to spend thirteen minutes on the chair to get to the top.Great terrain, glades, beautiful views of Mt. Washington and the Willoughby Gap. I don't think boarders will care for the rather long schlep back to the main area from the east bowl, not much trouble on skis however.
