Interesting....so Jay and stowe is the the above zone, but pretty much anything south of Burlington is average.

On a side note, who the hell plotted this map? I know Denver isn't in Eastern Colorado.... :/

Clearly not to scale. They're just trying to show that snowfall is going to be above average for the mountains, but not for Denver.

Denver is closer to the eastern side than it is to the Western side. Should be maybe at the edge of the blue but not much further west and Omaha shouldn't be in Iowa either

I agree, Denver is closer to the eastern side, but that map puts it somewhere in between Limon and Burlington. I think if they shifted the snowline and city of Denver over west, it would be correct, since I doubt the flatlands of colorado would get more snow.

But I'm not a meteorologist

So if I understand this map correctly, the "above" region is going to miss Cannon by about 10 miles. Naturally.

Generally weather forecasts do not account for elevation.

Maybe out west where the swath of Rocky Mountains are big enough and everything is at elevation. But here in the east, not so much. For example, a forecast for northern NHS can be assumed to be at Lincoln, and Cannon colder than predicted.

Scotty, when did you start working at MSNBC?;)
Hey, at least Scranton is in PA. Looks like they've got it somewhere near Williamsport.
