A contrast to yesterday; winter to spring.

Today started off weird. Rolled up the access road the same time as yesterday. All lots were full and we had to park about a 1/4 mile from lot two and then walk to the shuttle. We were expecting a complete zoo at the base. Not really. Amex was ski on, as was Ursa. Typical line at the gondi. So no idea where everyone went.

Upper mountain was nice; you could still find some powdery snow in the shade. Work Road was a blast. Polar Bear skied well. Some bumps forming , but the snow wasn't too wet. Things got slow mid mountain down as the day went on. But a good spring day. Tons of sun and comfortable temps.

Great pic! Trails look awesome for April.

Wish they had kept Sun Bowl open. I'm sure the trails over there were awesome with the fresh snow.

Yesterday, at least in Southern VT (and from other pics I've seen I'm guessing most of New England as well) was about as good as Spring skiing gets! Fresh snow, good coverage, decent, but not massive crowds, perfect weather! It's one of those days that we all hope to get at least one of each season!

Bingo! And to have it right after a mid winter like powder day was a bonus. Two parts of the season in one weekend.

Yep, special weekend, powder day Saturday, mid Winter conditions Sunday morning, cornfest Sunday afternoon. To add to the contrast, I blew off work Friday to ski Windham with the hope they got a couple inches up top, they did not. The groomed on the top half was bullet proof. The stinging sleet was painful on the face, it sucked. Empty seat in my buddy's truck, and a free voucher to Sugarbush today, had to take Friday off, doh!

I would've been there if Sun Bowl stayed open, but opted for Killington instead. That full mountain pic looks great. Glad you had a good time.

Lots of people park at the Sun Bowl which is now closed. Having Sun Bowl closed causes more parking issues than lift line issues.

Agreed. That lots helps absorb some cars. However, this was the first time we've seen this happen in the last few years of "late season" skiing. Surprised it didn't happen on the Saturday powder day. Maybe people stayed home.

Hats off to our shuttle driver on the way back. Despite signs on the bus that said in red letters "LOT 2", he was asked almost a dozen times: "Does this bus go to Lot 2?".
