Got a love letter from Stratton today (thanks for the free ticket last year) Here is what they are saying:

  •
[*]Two new intermediate trails in the Sunbowl area
[*]The opening of Easy Street, a three mile long family friendly trail from the summit designed for an easy-does-it style of skiing and riding
[*]An 18 foot half pipe on Sunriser Supertrail
[*]A reorganized and revamped terrain park network
    [*]Forty more efficient snow guns

what Stratton could use is a couple of thousand more feet of vertical.

as for the sunbowl area, would be nice if they had a better route getting down from the kidderbrook area to the sunbowl area aside from that long flat green trail(lower middlebrook?). it;s deadly to my snowboarder friends.

I am actually a pass holder there this year. I had a good time on my free ticket last year, and when they offered the Sunday season pass for $229 I said why not. I am in public accounting, so a Sunday season pass was perfect with me because I am usually working on Saturdays. I had been waiting for a Sunday ticket to pop up, and have never noticed it at another area.

That along with my Blue Hills pass should pretty much get me through the year.

my wife's family is all in the braintree-marshfield area. we go up a bunch for the holidays. is it worth buying a day pass and fighting the holiday crowds there? would be cool just to get another area under the belt.

Accounting, huh? that's not a good career for a skier/boarder, with corporate and personal tax returns due at/near season's end is it? 8-) I like the work-on-Saturdays gig, if you can get Monday off instead ;)

are you talking about the hill or the resort?
The US Ski & Snowboard team has its headquarters there.

The terrain itself. Very Okemo/Stratton like. Not really the stuff I go out to Utah for. Their snowfall is also quite a bit less than BCC and LCC.

I love the city itself though, especially during Sundance. Great vibe in Park City itself. I just don't like the ski area. Sorry if I offended anyone with my post. Not the intent.

Sooner or later everyone offends everyone here. It's a pretty thick-skinned group.

If we were all the same, we'd all be skiing at Kmart :flame:
