So what's out there for summer bumps camps? I know a lot of my friends go out to the Momentum, SMS, Ski Camp in Whistler and love it, but what else is available? Also what are the price differences. How much is Momentum? Does it include travel and food? I really would love to go, but cost is a big issue. How quickly do I need to book it? What would you suggest?

Im definately going back...WC coaching Darren Owen, who coached Patrick Deneen. Alot cheaper then Canada as well. The bump lines and kickers were fantastic/well maintained. Probably going to do the adult session again. I also skipped the full camp. cause I figured I would be too beat for all the after skiing activities. Check it out at www.mthood.com

Nice. Thanks for the info.

I'm planning on doing Momentum this summer, but the shorter week 1 session. Can't justify $600 or so more for one extra day of skiing and a day off. Hood doesn't look to have water ramps...Steveo?

No water ramps, but the staff spends a lot of time working on the kickers. It cost me around $1700..for the camp, airfare, rental car, and my own room at the MT. Hood Inn..

WOW. That was a lot less than I was expecting. Did it include food?

What are the dates? Around how much with airfare?

No didnt include food...I actually drank only 2 beers the whole time I was there!! I booked my airfare last april (for august) and it was $266 RT The adult camp this year is aug 29- sept 4th....you can go whatever week ya want, but I didnt want to be hanging with the 12-18 year olds.

Hope this helps!! Steveo

You can also E-mail Mike the camp director [email protected] and he can give you more info as far as lodging options.

Like to dust off this thread, our 14 year old son has expressed an interest in going out to Mt. Hood for ski camp. Any feedback/suggestions regarding camp for teenagers. thanks in advance.

momentum is great. whether its bumps or freeride, they seem to be a little ahead of the other summer camps. 4 out of the 6 medalists (moguls) in the 2010 olympics are former campers. the freeride is very progressive. and whistler is the best ski town ive ever been to (the summer is just as good as the winter)... but there are more chances for a 14 year old to get in trouble in a place like whistler

Anyone plan on going??? I really want to hit hood again, but I also have to put a ring on the GFs finger this year..The ring can wait till xmas...im 50%
