Probably been brought up already but I didn't feel like searching. I know, jong move...blah blah.

Anyway, how do ya do it. or do ya..???

Me, I do. I will always go for the local/micro over macro, or at least I'll take a class act guinness or murphy's or a better regarded beer over any macro-brew.

But.....I still LOVE PBR. I will drink what's there once mine runs out tho.....but that isn't a situation that occurs often.;-)

I prefere liquor. Dont like the taste of pretty much every beer I have had.

Def. an acquired taste, some like, some don't. Everyone can find a hard one they like cuz they come in all flavors.

Wine and mead are the same as beer IMO. You like it or you don't. I'm not a big wine guy, but I love beer and mead.

Pretty sure if you kept trying beer you'd find one that hit you right, it's just a long, drawn out process like me trying to find wine that I like.....by the time I fgured it out I could stomach all of them.

I love good beer (shipyard, long trail ect..) till the funds get short-then it goes to anything less than 4$ a six pack.

Tikes just when I decided to drink less beer after a long night at the bars...now I think I'll need to pick up a Magic Hat variety case after work..lol..I like micros the best but sometimes I crave some Budweiser..especially in a 40 ounce bottle..

Anything but N.A.....

I went on a trip to the Alps with some friends and one guy thought it would be good fun to bring a case of Natural Lite (a/k/a Natty Lite) in his snowboard bag and "surprise" us with some "good ol' American brew" in Europe....

The only problem with his "hilarious" plan was that he didn't stop to notice that he bought, packed and dragged across the Atlantic Ocean a case of "Natural Lite N.A."....Idiot.

I could only stomach Natty Light and Natty Ice in college at frat parties..but the good house parties often had Labatt, Long Trail, Magic Hat, and even Shed Mountain Ale..mmmmm....

Our local brew is Keegan Ale....

Good stuff.
At Keegan Ale - I can support local brewing AND local music... :)
Tony Levin is playing with the California Guitar Trio tonight...

Just grabbed a sampler pack of Saranac last night. For the most part I grabbed it cause it included their Black Forest. That beer just reminds me of college. They had it on tap at my usual haunt. Saving them for Saturday.... maybe.

I'll put a plug in for the Ipswich Brewery. Good stuff and a friend works there.

Never can have enough beer threads.

I'll tell ya what wa-laof, I've gone through two Ipswich Ale 12 packs now, and their Oatmeal Stout is just fantastic. I would rank it very close to, if not right along side of Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout. Their other ales are all high quality as well. I also heartily recommend the Ipswich brews.

I think the Samuel Smith Nut Brown is my favorite beer.

Especially in a brown paper bag?

We toured Magic Hat several years ago. I think if I didn't have responsibilities, it might be fun to work in a beer factory like that. They made it look fun, anyway.

I could go for some Autumn Brew from Woodstock Station right now. Anyone want to drive some down to me from NH? ;)

Life is too short to drink bad beer,,,,i'm a micro guy when possible/available....if micro isnt avail, i'll get the highest end beer a place has...

I'm making a concerted effort to drink the craft brew industry out of existence.
So far, I only seem to be encouraging it.

I do, however, dislike the "big" beer fad- IPA's with far too much hops, stouts that will take the paint off your house and give your whole family a permanent orange afro, that sort of thing. I like beers that are good examples of their style. I don't mind the creation of new styles, just not when they're just bastardizations of existing classics.

And then I get a six pack in and don't seem to mind as much.
