This might be a futile post, but does anyone know any good sources for discount Vail tickets?

Thanks!

I don't know any good angles, sorry. I already used up my one day with A-Basin pass. I do however have a couple twofers to Copper if you want them.

First..check the website for KingSooper supermarkets to see if they still peddle the discount tickets.....

Then....assuming you're flying into Denver and then driving out to Vail....stop at the KingSooper store that's right off of I-70 in Golden and cop the tickets at the courtesy desk.....there is a HUGE liquor store in an adjacent shopping center if you so desire to stock up on any potables before you hit the mountains.....

Thanks, we are staying at Vail so I don't think we plan on hitting any other mtns.

I'll have to get my buddy to check that out for me before I get there.

how about going to the parking lot or near the ticket booth and ask around if anyone has tickets for sale?

if you see anyone milling about, they might have extra tickets they want to unload. it;s surprising how many people buy bulk tickets or package deals and can;t use them due to the weather, injuries, people in their group not wanting to ski that day, ect....

also, if there is a big group of people about to buy tickets, maybe you can see about getting a group discount by joining forces. find out what the resorts group policy is first-some places give you a discount on around 15 people.

also, maybe you could ask at the front desk of your hotel/motel or at local ski shops. you never know, they might have discounted vouchers.

i paid full price for a vail ticket once. I had previously skied 2 days already at Vail and it was my 4th day in a row skiing. However it was it was a powder day not to be missed.

89$(or was it 92$) but atleast the ticket girl gave me a granola bar and a smile.

Find a passholder, they might still have some discount tickets left on their pass. You just need to go with them to the ticket office and you'll be all set.

FWIW we're out there next week and I think we both still have a few discounts left on our passes.

But the Epic pass is a great deal if you hit CO more than 5 days a year...

Those were going to be my last resort.

My buddy just emailed me and he can get me buddy passes for $65 so I think I'm all set. I'm only skiing 3 days, not enough for the epic pass. I'll be skiing Fri, Sat, and Sunday this week.

Unfortunately there aren't many discounts to Vail other than maybe saving a couple dollars on Ebay or getting a Peaks card which will save you $30-80 for a 3, 4 or 5 day ticket. You can get a 5 out of 8 day ticket for $405. $81 day instead of $97. Better than nothing. Just go to their website and sign up for free. We go out there every season and use my friends discount with his season pass which he gets some super cheap friend tickets for $50 for all the Vail resorts. If it wasn't for that it would be wayyyy too expensive. King Soopers doesn't have anything for any of the Vail resorts anymore. The only discounts you can find are for Copper and Winter Park. Lots of 1/2 price coupons on Ebay. Got 2 for Copper. Also a $40 coupon for A-Basin...
