Weather-Elevation Websites...

Anybody have anygood websites for weather that take into account elevation. Lets say I wanted to get the forcast for Mount Snow or Killington at various elevations (including the peak). Is this possible?

just go to noaa and click different areas on the map. i was just checking out the weekend forecast for 3800 ft in the sugarloaf area-maybe some snow-we shall see

The National Weather Service provides point forecast data on a 3 mile grid. Just click anywhere on the displayed map to zoom in to your desired location.

Here is an example from the Killington area. Click a new location on the displayed map and you will observe the elevation for the selected point.

NWS elevation forecasts are definitely the way to go. Everything else is mostly just an interpretation of that anyway...

Auto Road Vertical Temperature Profile (ARVTP) is useful but limited in scope to a certain area.

Higher Summits Forecast gives a rough idea to expect near the summits of the higher peaks.

I agree with Riverc0il. The NWS Higher Summits forecast is the way to go.

If you go to the website for Eye on the Sky forecast (part of the Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium's website), and click on the Recreational Forecast, you'll get wind and temperature for various elevations in Vermont.

So if I were to go to weather.gov, how would I get the forcast for the peak of Mount Snow? I have been clicking on the map but I can't seem to get the peak elevation of Mount Snow. Any tips? Thanks again.

The point data is spaced on a 3 mile square grid, so it is not possible to select a definite point. All you can do is move the mouse a bit and keep trying to find a point that is roughly the same elevation.
