My wife and friends and I will be skiing Waterville Valley this weekend. According to the weather channel it should be a balmy 10f or 14f. A huge change from the minus temps I have become so accustom to.

Welcome to the boards, CP!CP said:Depends on how bad the roads are this evening. The final destination is Stratton as usual, but I'm worried that the rain/snow changeover zone on Rt 2 will be bad.
Exactly. I don't have any plans in the near future to expand beyond the Northeast. I still would like to bring in more Northeast coverage, namely NJ, PA, etc... and even Quebec and W. VA, but I'm a rightcoaster and this site will stay regional for the foreseeable future. I have yet to find another site out there that is truly Northeast skiing-specific. Snowjournal is somewhat with its link to NELSAP, but I think Chris really is aiming at national coverage. FTO leans towards the NE with the reports, but covers other areas. I could probably increase this site's traffic 10 fold if I expanded coverage to the West, but I think the site will then lose focus. After all, most of our homes and experiences are here. I think we fill a unique niche and this is a comfortable setting for discussing our "home" mountains. Glad you found us. Spread the word to other Northeast skiers! 8)CP said:Thanks. I saw your post over on Epic and decided to join here. Seems like a better way to communicate with locals. I've found the same is true regarding a few other boards I'm a member of. Pertinent info is passed along more quickly, as opposed to a national board.
Another happy American Skiing Company customer! 8)uphillklimber said:We went to Sugarbush a couple years ago. Most memorable trip we ever had. Fresh snow coming down. It was Friday, not busy, and 100% open. They had all super quads going and no lines. Alot of time going down, no time in line and a quick lift to the top. Epic, just epic.
This weekend, we'll grab, hopefully four of our kids and go to Sunday River. 119 trails open and fairly good conditions, and hopefully a fresh blanket of snow!!!
Now WHO do you think put those quads in? The new owners? hauphillklimber said:They had all super quads going and no lines.
