You know it’s been to long when you catch yourself reading two year old trip reports about your home mountain.

How do you deal with your addiction?
:(

What's worse is when you read your own TRs...

Eric, thanks for the input.

Did you intend to post this reply here or in the "it ain't right I tell ya" thread?

Wrong thread, right thoughts, I think.

I thought he was going to tell us how he copes with his addiction. It must suck even more for people who have to go to the mountain every day and see all the green and none of the white.

He only needs 4,419 more.

As for me, I go through just about every picture in the gallery every day it seems and I read a few trips reports, usually my own as I can picture it better. Or I can read some other ones too just for the sake of reading, "This trail was awesome! 3 feet of powder the whole way!"

When the co-op started, snowboarders had every right and opportunity to get involved and save the mountain. They chose not to help Mad River Glen in our hour of need (and in 1995-96 we were REALLY desperate for shareholders to pony up the cash required). Do I understand why they did not? Yes, of course many felt that the policy was there and why should they buy in when they couldn't ride. However, snowboarders could have easily mounted an effort and changed the future direction of Mad River Glen, and they still can. If they had perhaps the attitude of the co-op's shareholders might be different."

Naw, I doubt it. Way wouldn't they help out all they could even though they're not wanted on the mountain? It's got to be something else.

Oh yeah, they are welcome just not their snowboards.

Why can't I let this go? Why do I keep responding? Why? Why? Why? It must be the heat I tell ya.

Beer is the cause of, and the solution to, all of life's problems.

As a 'Wino' I take offense to that statement.

If it ain't right to exclude snowboarders from MRG, it certainly isn't right to exclude 'winos' from discussions concerning the creation and solution of life's problems

DA-OH!

how did that happen?
My bad!

You know...

You know it's bad when...

You have a nightmare that this summer you agreed to let (insert your resort name here) hold onto your brand new (insert ski name here). The pitch is that they will be trailside whenever you are ready.

The nightmare continues when you have second thoughts, go back to retrieve your skis and they "misplaced them."

True story (the dream, that is); happened to me last night. I awoke in a cold sweat. Had to go out to the garage just to be certain they were still secure.
