docs appointment today gave me the green light for march, woot. not completely unexpected but still encouraging and put a smile on my face. i have recovered full flexion in my right arm and am down to 18 degrees on my extension. gonna be a slow and painful struggle for the last 18 degrees and i might only get 10 more in the near future, but i am essentially fully functional already which is amazing progress only 8 weeks after the surgery.

working on building back up all the muscle that has atrophied while my arm was not mobile. i can curl four pounds, w00t! 8) triceps and shoulder muscles were both obliterated from lack of use, but everyday i am getting more and more functionality. reaching overhead still is painful due to lack of muscle, but we are getting there.

uncle just offered me a trip out to copper mountain, CO with him and some of his buds in march. one of their friends bailed, money already deposited. i just need to buy the plane ticket and i'll be out west for the first time. this could be perfect timing, hopefully the date will be okay at work too.

indeed, heh. though i am unsure how well the arm will support weight. i am hoping for the elbow to support most of my body weight by april, i probably won't even attempt touring until then.

Nice...Now you can make it all the way down for the Jiminy trip on march 11th
would love to ski with you guys, but i really can't justify a trip down to jiminy when i am over due on catching up with days at burke and cannon and using up three mad cards.

By May you should be in great shape! Take advantage of your injury and have your buddies take some of your load... Just carry your skis and boots.. Hell - I'd throw you a beer if I saw you up there... :)

btw: I work with a guy who used to live in St Johnsbury - he loved it... :) Tuckerman in your back yard(kinda)

Can I get a pack for my cat?

Did you ever see that giant caretakers cat that used to roam the shelters at Tucks a few years back.. That thing could've carried a pack...

Does this mean the snow will come back now?

Cause you know Steve, it hasn't been winter since you broke the arm.

So this was all Steve's fault? ;)

I doubt it, but it was a strange coincidence.

seriously! i did miss one powder weekend the week following my injury, but after that it has indeed been not suspect. hopefully i will bring the snow back with me. i keep telling my co-workers that february is going to be VERY snowy because mother nature is going to get the mountains back in shape for my march return ;)
