OK, I'm officially depressed. Where the hang was this weather pattern in Jan/Feb!

This is borderline criminal.

I need a day off to go fishing. Due to the rain...there are several new lakes in my neighborhood.

*sigh*

I'm hunting the Yellow Pages to have someone "hay" my lawn since it's so high and wet I can't mow it. Maybe I should sprinkle some grubs into the lawn. *SMIRK*

hmmm...I'm surprised Mr Sponsor didn't offer to sell me a boat...or lawn chemicals. It was nice of him to pick up on the fact that I need a vaca...heli-skiing in Argentina or a lovelt NH resort.

You know what this is? A winter pattern. The jet stream is right off the coast and pushing moisture over us. Now we're going to get all this rain and it won't rain or snow for the rest of the year

It ruined one graduation, now is going for two. :x

I think springtime rain is mother nature's way of getting all the incredible foliage off to a good start. If you want dry you can move out west where their drought continues. During the summer of 1988, the year of the Yellowstone fires there was one afternoon of rain ALL summer long. I will never forget that summer.

It won't be long when the summer's hot sticky weather arrives and you will wish for some cool rainy weather.

Cool - yes. Rainy - no.

Is it really too much to ask for a nice day to go biking? I haven't been mountain biking in almost a month because as soon as the trails are almost dry it rains again

Personally I like riding trails when they are "wet" as I like getting mud all over...makes me feel like I actually did something...HA

I didn'y say I like the rainy weather just trying to put some sunshine on the situation. The rain actually cost me a bunch of money this past weekend regarding the 2 events we worked at.

Riding in the mud can be fun, but it rips up the trails pretty good...

I think you're being sarcastic...but if not, riding bikes or hiking on wet trails is very, very damaging and is not something that should be done.

Agreed 100%......dont ride trails when it is raining way too damaging..I was truly more referring to the puddles left in low spots after heavy rains......love riding through those puddles. :D

This type of weather was here during the winter. Everything was the same, unfortunately including the temperature. I skiied 4 times last winter when the temp was 60+ (twice in January) and now it won't hit 60 for more than a couple days because it rains so damn much. I'm sick of this.

I know it....I swear if we get any more rain.....I'll, I'll, I'll......oh I don't know, but I just it would stop at least for this Saturday, so we can go to the Portsmouth's Market Square Day, since we missed the Old Port Festival in Portland, ME due to working on the house. We missed out on that one.

Anyway, I hope all this rain helps our garden and not wash it all away.

re: Skiing Singles...HEH!! I saw that link too. Too funny.

SO here's the stupidist thing I've done lately. The pool was about to overflow with all this rain, so I drop a hose in to syphon some water out.....and I forgot about it...for a long time.

*sigh*

So I hope it rains just a bit more to give me back a couple of inches....of water.

one thing you can always count on with the weather, no matter what the weather is doing, someone will always be unhappy what it is doing  the whitewater kayakers are probably thrilled!! i really could care less. it is nice to see the sun, but i don't let it get to me. sure beats the oppresive heat we had last late spring as we headed into summer. it could stay like this for the next three months and i would be happy as a pig in.

If it is like this for the next three months you better make sure you homeowner's insurance covers mudslides and maybe consider flood insurance.

I thought last year that it was a bit cool up until about mid-June...then we were roasted through most of September and I even had to use the A/C during Columbus Day weekend...:-x

I don't mind the cool weather either, but somehow I think we'll be paying for this in July and August...
